SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED!

  • Sub­mis­sion’s sub­ject line should be “[GENRE] sub­mis­sion [FULL NAME]”
    e.g. FICTION sub­mis­sion JANE DOE
  • If sub­mit­ting to mul­ti­ple gen­res, each sub­mis­sion should be sent as a sep­a­rate email
  • Fic­tion, CNF, Stage, & Poet­ry: .doc, .docx or .pdf files in 12 pt Times New Roman
  • Screen: .pdf in Couri­er with stan­dard for­mat­ting
  • Visu­al art: .pdf, .png, or .jpeg
  • Please remove all iden­ti­fy­ing infor­ma­tion (such as your name) from your file(s). Your name should only be in the sub­ject line.
  • Prose must be under 3500 words. Screen 15 pages or less. Poet­ry 5 pages or less.
    (please indi­cate if your piece is an excerpt from a larg­er work)
  • Please include your sub­mis­sion as an attach­ment in your email!

  • Under­grad­u­ate stu­dent cur­rent­ly attend­ing the Uni­ver­si­ty of Vic­to­ria
  • Under­grad­u­ate stu­dent cur­rent­ly attend­ing a Cana­di­an insti­tu­tion that is not UVic1
  • Grad­u­ate stu­dent cur­rent­ly attend­ing the Uni­ver­si­ty of Vic­to­ria*

You Are NOT Eli­gi­ble If You Are…

  • Not cur­rent­ly attend­ing a post-sec­ondary insti­tu­tion
  • Cur­rent­ly attend­ing a post-sec­ondary insti­tu­tion that is not in Cana­da
  • A grad­u­ate stu­dent attend­ing an insti­tu­tion oth­er than the Uni­ver­si­ty of Vic­to­ria
  • A cur­rent mem­ber of the War­ren Staff
  1. Notes on Eli­gi­bil­i­ty: The War­ren Under­grad­u­ate review is fund­ed by and is a part of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Victoria’s Under­grad­u­ate Stu­dent Soci­ety (the UVSS). In keep­ing with the UVSS’s poli­cies and respon­si­bil­i­ties, the Warren’s con­sti­tu­tion states that rough­ly %75 of what we pub­lish in each issue MUST be work pro­duced by UVic under­grad­u­ate stu­dents ↩︎
